Discover the incredible diversity of Morocco on this epic 8-day mountain biking adventure that combines the majestic High Atlas Mountains with the dramatic landscapes of South Morocco. From snow-capped peaks to desert oases, traditional Berber villages to ancient kasbahs, this tour showcases the very best of Morocco's natural and cultural heritage.
Day 1: Marrakech - Ouarzazate
Departure from Marrakech crossing the spectacular Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260m). First ride around Ouarzazate, the "Gateway to the Sahara," exploring film studios and the impressive Taourirt Kasbah. Overnight in traditional riad.
Day 2: Ouarzazate - Skoura Oasis
Ride through the Valley of Roses to Skoura Oasis, famous for its palm groves and ancient kasbahs. Visit the magnificent Amridil Kasbah and cycle through traditional irrigation channels (khettaras) that have sustained this oasis for centuries.
Day 3: Skoura - Dades Valley
Epic ride through the dramatic Dades Valley, known as the "Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs." Navigate the famous Dades Gorges with their spectacular rock formations and traditional Berber villages perched on clifftops.
Day 4: Dades - Todra Gorges
Ride to the magnificent Todra Gorges, where towering limestone cliffs create a narrow canyon perfect for exploration. Technical riding through palm oases and traditional Berber settlements. Rock climbing demonstration by local guides.
Day 5: Todra - Merzouga Desert
Journey to the edge of the Sahara Desert at Merzouga. Ride through changing landscapes from rocky terrain to sand dunes. Camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes for sunset and overnight camping under the stars.
Day 6: Merzouga - Rissani - Alnif
Sunrise over the dunes followed by ride to Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Explore the traditional souk and continue to Alnif through fossil-rich terrain. Visit local fossil workshops and learn about the region's geological history.
Day 7: Alnif - Agdz - Draa Valley
Ride through the spectacular Draa Valley, Morocco's longest river valley. Cycle past ancient kasbahs, palm groves, and traditional villages. Visit the historic town of Agdz and explore its traditional architecture and local crafts.
Day 8: Draa Valley - Marrakech
Final morning ride through the Draa Valley before returning to Marrakech via the Anti-Atlas Mountains. Celebration lunch and tour conclusion. Transfer to airport or accommodation in Marrakech.
